Get Wellness

As Bob Dylan says, “times they are a changin”. One of the sectors that has plenty of interest and innovation is the Pet Wellness Space. Until the last few years this heritage sector was largely untouched by new players and modernization. Sure, there have been some very notable acquisitions in recent years, so the magnitude of the sector has to be respected. The pet market is closing in on $100B and the wellness sector makes up a good portion of that. It’s very fair to say the space is active with plenty of new players emerging to tap this very lucrative and rapidly expanding market. The pet sector has been a bit of the wild west over the years with some baseless claims and poor products. We are more aware and conscious of what we put in our bodies; this trend is fast moving towards pets as well. Make no mistake the cowboys still exist but there are many new brands emerging that are focused on good quality food, active ingredients and real sustainability. They’re doing away with all this “stuff” that had been commonly used in the past because it was cheap. Bottom line is people care about their pets and this growing trend is not slowing down any time soon. When you next look for food or supplements for your pet look past the old and embrace the innovation hitting the market.
